I generally have an idle issue when I come to a quick stop in either first or reverse, the idle will seem to "load up" a hundred rpm or so, then stumble down to about 500rpm immediately, and usually recover, surge a few times, each time smaller and smaller, then settle at about 700rpm. The correct IAC setting on the screw is 1.5 turns FROM closed, correct? However, I will follow the link you listed Decipha, as it certainly seems to be the most complete. I have messed with my idle many times, and it has never been satisfactory, and always returns to what seems to be the same settings. What about to connect the SCT chip to be tuned? Can this function is the "chip", or do I solely use this tool to datalog, and then write the tune on the SCT chip? What type of cables will I need to connect the quarterhorse to my laptop. So it's looking like a quarterhorse is required to datalog, if I read correctly.
